E & O Insurance
News
Have you changed offices lately, or are you
contemplating a move? If you are licensed at an office that has its own E&O insurance
(typically the larger franchise offices), and you move to an office that
does not have its own E&O coverage, you must obtain E&O insurance prior to changing offices.
The license law requires all actively-licensed brokers
and sales associates to carry E&O insurance as a condition of
licensure. Remember to
ask your new broker whether you will be covered under an E&O policy at
your new office.
The
Commission’s group coverage with Rice
Insurance Services is available to all
Idaho
licensees, or you may obtain other
independent coverage that meets the Commission’s minimum
requirements.
Our Licensing
Department audits compliance with the license law pertaining to E&O
coverage, for your own protection as well as that of the public.
REMINDER: The Rice group E&O policy renews
on October 1 each year. This
year’s premium will remain the same at $165. Your renewal notice will be mailed
soon to your current business address. Failure to pick up or receive
a notice does not excuse the obligation to renew on time. Thanks for your cooperation!
